Care and Maintenance of your Patio

How to Maintain your Powder Coated Patio

Your patio has a long life expectancy and will stay in good condition for many years, but maintenance is important. Just as washing your car is important for removing dirt and grime, your patio also needs to be given a regular wash to keep it looking as good as new.

General dirt, grime and airborne salt deposits can all accumulate on your patio over time and should be removed at regular intervals.

Cleaning of your patio should take place at least every 6 months. In areas where contaminations are more common, such as coastal locations, near building sites and manufacturing areas, we suggest cleaning your patio every 3 months.

Cleaning your patio is easy:

1. Remove loose deposits with a wet sponge rather than risk micro scratching the surface by dusting

2. Using a soft brush and mild detergent in warm water, clean the patio to remove any dust, salt or other deposits

3. Always rinse after cleaning to remove any remaining detergent. A domestic high pressure hose can be used and is helpful in reaching those higher areas. As with everything care should be taken. Test a small area first to ensure the pressure of your hose does not do any damage to the powder coated surface.
